Bilbys have a new swim squad starting next week and it's especially for less confident swimmers. The squad will initially run for 12 weeks and the aim of this squad is to provide a slower group for people who feel they need some extra coaching to help them transition into one of the regular Bilbys squad. The details of the squad are... Location: Civic Olympic Pool Day: Thursdays, beginning on 9 February 2012 Time: 7pm to 8.30pm Coach: Geoff Hare The cost of the squad is $3 for Bilbys members and $5 for non members. You will need to pay the pool entry fee as per usual. Please do not go to this swim squad if you are a confident swimmer. Instead, join one of the regular Bilbys swim squads. |

Triathlon ACT will be holding the ACT aquathlon champs on Thursday 23 February 2012 at Lake Ginninderra. There will be two distances - a sprint: 500m swim/5km run, and the championship race: 1500m swim/10km run. Bilbys is once again participating in the annual Relay for Life to raise money for the Cancer Council. The relay for life is a fun event where team members take turns running or walking around the track over a 24 hour period. This year it is at the AIS track in Bruce, from midday Saturday 17 March to midday Sunday 18 March. We are still looking for team members - in the past some Bilbys have used their time slot for their training run, and some have just walked for fun.
